Supreme Media Council bans Riham Saeed and Yasmine Khallik

The ET Arabic agency reported that the Supreme Council for Media Regulation has decided to ban journalists Riham Said and Yasmine Khalek from appearing on all media outlets for two months. This decision was made due to their mutual exchanges on social media, which the council deemed unacceptable and in violation of societal values and professional standards. The ruling came after examining the complaints exchanged between them and confirming the responsibility of journalists for the content they publish on their personal accounts, as part of the public sphere. The council also emphasized the importance of adhering to media conduct guidelines and respecting the journalism profession.
