Minister of Awqaf Dr. Osama Al-Azhari and Dr. Iman Karim, the General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the rights of persons with disabilities in the religious sphere. The goal of this agreement is to expand their access to mosques and religious and cultural activities by providing religious content suitable for them, translating Friday sermons into sign language, and training imams and female preachers on effective communication with persons with disabilities. It also emphasizes integrating them into outreach and awareness activities, enabling their participation in Quranic and cultural events, thereby fostering community engagement and dignity, and reinforcing the principles of citizenship and solidarity.
