Jo Manganiello on Sofia Vergara's Reaction During His Illness

In his memoir "Bloodlines," Manghanelo revealed his seven-year health struggles, which began after he married Sofia Vergara in 2015. These issues led to a loss of about 27 kilograms (approximately 60 pounds) and multiple surgeries, including the removal of part of his intestines. He also pointed out that their disagreement over the idea of having children was a major reason for their separation, explaining that his worsening health prompted him to cancel assisted reproductive attempts and reconsider adoption—not solely out of personal desire. Additionally, he spoke about his suffering from an autoimmune disease that remains undiagnosed, and how his health changed after turning to spiritual treatments and counselors. He mentioned that he is now in good health and plans to live with his fiancée, with the possibility of having children again.
