Gulf Strategy for Measuring Drug Prevention

With the release of the Statistical Center for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, a Metadata Guide for Performance Measurement Indicators of the Gulf Strategy to Combat Drugs (2025-2028) has been issued. Its aim is to create a unified database to measure and document the implementation of the strategy, and to enhance cooperation among countries to address the transnational drug problem. The strategy includes six main goals, such as strengthening efforts to combat smuggling through modern technology, developing legislation, and activating international partnerships. It also features 12 key performance indicators to assess preventive, therapeutic, and security efforts, with the ultimate goal of achieving regional and global leadership in drug prevention and control.
