Riyadh and Washington to invest $22B in gas station

South Korea and the United States have agreed to invest approximately $22.3 billion to build a 6.3-gigawatt gas plant in Enchinal, Texas, aimed at meeting the growing energy demand driven by artificial intelligence data centers. This investment is part of a trade agreement signed last year, in which Seoul committed to injecting $350 billion into the United States in exchange for tariff exemptions on its imports. The project is considered the first South Korean investment in the U.S. under the agreement, and South Korea is also exploring other projects, including a nuclear plant or a gas project in Alaska, to enhance energy supply in America.
