US to host inaugural Women’s Club World Cup
The United States is close to hosting the inaugural Women’s Club World Cup in January 2028, with Los Angeles and San Diego among preferred venues. The tournament, featuring 19 teams, will take place during a busy schedule ahead of the 2028 Olympics and the 2027 Women’s World Cup. Fifa aims to use the event to prepare for the 2031 Women’s World Cup and evaluate venue logistics before expanding to a 48-team format.
