Al-Nu'man: Coalition mission ended after assessments

The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Noman, affirmed that the termination of the international coalition's mission in Iraq was based on professional assessments, free from political interference. He explained that the withdrawal process is part of a neutral evaluation, with efforts to maintain border security and rebuild the Iraqi forces. He clarified that Iraqi troops have taken full control of the borders, and as a result, all borders are now secured at 100%. Additionally, desert patrol units have been formed to protect areas near Saudi Arabia. He also indicated that previous military operations depended on the capabilities of the coalition led by Washington. Since mid-2026, no air strikes or targeted operations have been carried out except by the Iraqi military leadership.
