Iraq's oil output reaches 835M barrels in nine months
Eco Iraq Observatory report indicates that Iraq extracted approximately 834.7 million barrels of oil during the first nine months of 2026. The highest daily production rate was recorded in September at 4.399 million barrels, the highest level since the Strait of Hormuz closure earlier in the year. The data shows that production remained stable in January and February at over 4.1 million barrels per day, but it sharply declined from March to May due to the regional conflict's aftermath, reaching a low of 1.406 million barrels per day in May. Production then gradually began to recover in the third quarter of the year. By September, output had returned to its highest levels since the start of the year, with recovery continuing through the end of the third quarter.
