Turkey aims to boost oil output to 1 million barrels

Turkey plans to increase its oil production to one million barrels per day by 2030, as part of a strategy that involves raising current output from 300,000 barrels to 550,000 barrels by 2028, and then reaching one million barrels in the future. Turkey is participating in the exploration of new oil and gas fields in the Black Sea, in addition to external efforts in Somalia, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Hungary, Bulgaria, Oman, and Libya. Currently, Turkey owns six deep-water drilling vessels and two seismic survey ships, and is working to develop its capabilities and achieve regional and global leadership in the oil and gas sector.
