The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Haider Baha, confirmed that the government is moving towards implementing an autonomy experiment in ten Iraqi universities, aiming to develop university management, enhance self-financing, and diversify financial resources. This initiative seeks to transform universities into sources of knowledge that produce and develop skills and scientific values, while strengthening partnerships with government institutions and the private sector to improve the quality of education and scientific research. The objectives include improving university performance within legal frameworks, meeting the needs of the labor market, and leveraging current indicators to achieve development.
