Lebanese source warns of Israel delaying withdrawal

The article concerns concerns over Israel's delay in implementing the first phase of the withdrawal agreement from Lebanese border areas, despite the understandings reached under American sponsorship. Sources indicate that the Israeli postponement aims at stalling, as ongoing measures hinder the withdrawal, such as drawing lines for occupied sites in southern Lebanon and statements by Israeli leaders denying the withdrawal and asserting that troops will remain in the area for years. Lebanon is expected to raise these issues at the upcoming meeting at the White House with the American president, amid security tensions on the border caused by airstrikes and Israeli military actions, in an effort to pressure Israel to fully commit to the agreed withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
