Trump backs Darlene Graham for SC Senate

Donald Trump announced that he has asked Darline Graham, the sister of the late Senator Lindsay Graham, to run in the Republican primary for the South Carolina Senate seat scheduled for August 11, and he assured that she will have his support. Graham's office had previously announced his death due to a heart condition caused by arteriosclerosis. Graham had shifted from being a fierce critic of Trump to a strong supporter. Additionally, South Carolina governor, Republican Henry McMaster, appointed Graham's sister to fill the vacant seat until early January, as Republicans continue to face challenges ahead of the upcoming November elections.
