Lebanon security support pact signed

The Lebanese Ministers of Interior and Defense, along with the British Ambassador, signed a memorandum of understanding to support security in Lebanon through the British program (ISAP), with the aim of strengthening the capabilities of security institutions and consolidating national stability. The program seeks to improve counter-terrorism and criminal violence response capabilities, rehabilitate facilities, and support digital infrastructure and training, all to make Lebanese security institutions more resilient against internal and external threats. Implementation will continue until August 13, 2026, and includes enhancing cooperation between Lebanon and the United Kingdom in the security sector.
