Prosecutor's Office Ready to Enforce Amnesty Law

The Acting Prosecutor General of Lebanon, Ahmad Rami Al-Hajj, has established a central operations room to implement the amnesty law in coordination with judicial and security agencies. This aims to ensure the swift and professional execution of the law upon its issuance by the Constitutional Court. The procedures include preparing comprehensive files that contain rulings and judicial records for over 2,000 detainees and convicted individuals, with the goal of accelerating releases, standardizing handling mechanisms, and avoiding delays. The operation requires extensive coordination among the relevant entities and is part of preemptive preparations to ensure readiness for implementation. It is expected that the first batch will be completed within approximately ten days, under full judicial and security supervision.
