Al-Maliki: Houthis Hit Medina Power Station
A Houthi attack was launched using a drone on the electricity distribution station in Medina, Saudi Arabia, which resulted in one of the transformers being taken out of service. The Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen reported that the Houthi movement planned and carried out the attack in an attempt to target a civilian facility providing services to the Prophet's Mosque. This is part of their ongoing efforts to target the Two Holy Mosques, in line with their hostile stance toward the Kingdom. The Saudi leadership and coalition confirmed that they are continuing measures to deter the Houthis and protect the Holy Mosques and the safety of pilgrims. There are expectations that Houthi hostile actions in the region will escalate.
