Yemeni gov confirms Mocha supply cut

The news bulletin covers the military operations in Yemen, where Yemeni government sources reported that their forces have cut off the supply route to the strategic city of Mokha, which overlooks the Red Sea. However, there has been no confirmation of regaining full control of the city from the Houthi fighters, who seized it last September. The government announced the start of a counterattack to recover areas controlled by the Houthis, with reports of control over Zubab military airport and the imposition of a blockade on the Houthis at Bab el-Mandeb Strait, aimed at securing the international shipping lane. Nonetheless, military sources denied full control over Mokha and affirmed that operations are ongoing to pursue the Houthis and diminish their influence in the region.
