Lebanese Bank Launches Refund Account

The Lebanese Bank issued a statement announcing the initiation and execution of legal procedures to recover funds that have been embezzled or used improperly, whether inside or outside Lebanon. It also established a special and independent account solely dedicated to the repayment of depositors' funds, which is financially and accountingly separate from the bank's assets, and its use for any other purpose is strictly prohibited. This measure aims to restore the rights of depositors, enhance accountability, and support confidence in the Lebanese financial system. It is part of the bank's commitment to safeguarding its assets and resources.
