Trump removes flight restrictions to Lebanon

U.S. President Donald Trump canceled four presidential orders that restricted flight operations to Lebanon, paving the way for the resumption of direct flights between the two countries. The measures indicate that these restrictions are no longer necessary to protect airplanes from unlawful seizure, although the decision to lift them does not specify dates, airlines, or routes for starting flights. The Lebanese Embassy in Washington welcomed the decision, affirming that this step contributes to strengthening communication between Lebanon and the United States, opening new avenues for tourism, trade, and investment, and reflecting confidence in Lebanese security measures. It marks an initial step toward restoring direct flights between the two countries.
