Explosion Shipment from Baalbek to Suburbs
Investigations continue into the explosion that was discovered inside a vehicle at the Dhahr al-Baydar checkpoint, following the detention of two members of Hezbollah in conversations suggesting that the shipment originated from Baalbek heading towards Beirut. The detainees admitted that the explosives were requested by Hezbollah to be delivered to a leader in the southern suburbs of Beirut, and that a well-known figure called "Sayyed Sajad" handed over the materials to them and ordered them to transfer them to another leader. The investigations are focused on identifying the parties that were supposed to receive the explosives, and security agencies are continuing to search for other individuals involved in transporting and handing over the shipment, with the aim of referring them to the judiciary and completing the full disclosure of the case's details.
