Doz al-Ba'idr tests state stability

Investigations into the Zahra El-Baidar incident revealed the seizure of hundreds of kilograms of explosives, including highly explosive "C-4" material, which was meant for Hezbollah in Beirut. The two detainees, one of whom is the son of a party official, confessed to receiving the explosives from a party leader and confirmed that the operation was aimed at delivering them to a person named Zulfiqar in the southern suburbs of Beirut. The investigations are ongoing to identify other involved individuals, amid warnings that continued delays in implementing the decision to restrict weapons to the state could threaten civil peace and increase the likelihood of political assassinations. The government affirmed that the investigation will reach clear conclusions and stressed the necessity of arresting all those involved in the operation.
