Kanan Shakar Appointed Education Minister

The Little Akhtal High School in the New-Jdeideh-Bouchrieh-Sadd and Metn areas has been reopened after efforts by Deputy Ibrahim Kanaan, in collaboration with Minister of Education Dr. Rima Karam. They supported his proposal to reverse the decision to close the school in response to parental demands. The high school was merged with the New-Jdeideh Girls' High School instead of shutting it down, in order to preserve the school's legacy and historical significance, which has produced many graduates from the area and beyond. This decision comes after two meetings and calls from the local community to safeguard education and heritage in the region.
