Milak sets new European butterfly record

Hungarian swimmer Kristóf Milák set a new European record in the 100-meter butterfly final at the Swimming European Championships held in Paris. He completed the race in 49.48 seconds, surpassing Frenchman Maxime Grousset, who finished second in 49.70 seconds, while Swiss Noy Ponteri won the bronze medal with a time of 49.93 seconds. British swimmer Philip Nouwaki also claimed the gold in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:07.70, beating Dutch competitor Kaspar Korbo. The remaining medalists included champions from Colombia and Austria.
