Vieira criticizes lack of respect for Senegalese players

The coach of the Senegal national team, Patrick Vieira, defended his players Kalidou Koulibaly and Edirsa Gaye after the criticisms directed at them on social media, describing those comments as disrespectful and unsportsmanlike. He emphasized that labeling the players as "their time is over" is unacceptable and damages the legacy of Senegal. Vieira pointed out that their presence adds value and that they can still contribute more to the national team. The Senegalese team won against Comoros with a goal from Eliman N’Diaye, achieving two consecutive victories without defeat in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
