Gaza player turns room into training space

The article focused on the story of Palestinian player Amel Shabir, who lost both legs during his displacement in Gaza due to bombing and war shrapnel. However, he turned his injury into an opportunity for rehabilitation and sports practice. After his injury and amputation, he transformed part of his home into a small training room using a wheelchair, aiming to rebuild his physical abilities and develop a sports pathway for people with disabilities. Shabir aspires to join sports teams for people with disabilities at both Arab and international levels, and he's working on developing his career as a coach. Additionally, the sector suffers from a shortage of prosthetic limbs and rehabilitation services, making his dream of returning to the field dependent on improved care and rehabilitation. Meanwhile, he is also seeking to use sports as a means to improve the mental health of children affected by the war, emphasizing that his determination to practice sports remains strong despite the challenges.
