Moroccan Federation Names New Women's Coach
The Moroccan Football Federation announced the departure of Spanish coach Jorge Vila from coaching the Moroccan women's national team after leading the team for three years, without revealing the reasons for his departure. French coach Eric Blahiq has been appointed as the new head coach of the team, which is continuing preparations with two friendly matches against Uzbekistan in October. The team achieved a historic performance at the 2023 World Cup by qualifying for the Round of 16, and finished fourth in the recent African Cup of Nations, as they continue to aim for qualification to the 2027 World Cup.
