Final Fantasy VII Remake joins Sonic races in 2027

SEGA has revealed a new collaboration between the game "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and the racing game "Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds," which is scheduled to be released in the third quarter of 2027 as part of the second-year ticket content. The collaboration includes a package called the "Midgar Pack," inspired by the city of Midgar from the "Final Fantasy VII" series. This pack will feature a racing track, two playable characters, a new vehicle, and additional in-game content. This partnership is part of an expansion plan that includes themed packs inspired by various entertainment universes and franchises such as Godzilla, Evangelion, and Hello Kitty, aiming to diversify the gaming experience and attract a wider audience. "Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds" boasts 24 tracks, 15 worlds, 23 playable characters, and 45 vehicles, with players able to switch between worlds during races.
