Cassano Criticizes Mourinho and Vinicius
Antonio Cassano, the former Real Madrid star, criticized the team's coach, José Mourinho, asserting that his coaching style has become outdated and no longer reflects the team's level. He said that Mourinho doesn't love football as much as he cares about talking, focusing on debates rather than technical performance. Cassano pointed out that the team could have achieved a much bigger victory—over 10-0—if another coach had been in charge. He also emphasized that Real Madrid relies heavily on its star players to decide matches. Additionally, he praised Barcelona’s style under Hans Flick for building a team with a clear attacking character. Regarding the team's players, Cassano downplayed Vinicius Jr.'s abilities and preferred Rodrigo for his greater potential. He maintained a positive view of Messi and considered Ronaldo "The Phenomenon" one of the greatest strikers he has seen, stressing that Ronaldo surpasses Cristiano Ronaldo and delivers an even higher level of performance. Cassano also admitted that he missed an opportunity at Real Madrid due to his undisciplined behavior, saying he favored entertainment over discipline, but added that his relationship with coach Capello has now improved.
