Al-Mustaqila anticipates city appeal

David Kogan, the head of the Independent Football Review in England, expects Manchester City's appeals following their conviction for more than 100 violations of the English Football League's financial rules to be heard next January. The potential sanctions could include a loss of several points and possibly stripping the club of the three titles it won between 2009 and 2018, despite the club's insistence on its innocence of the charges. Kogan clarified that the case will be reviewed by an independent panel consisting of three judges or retired lawyers, emphasizing that the investigations are unaffected by any political interference and reaffirming the independence of the regulatory body. Additionally, the team's coach expressed confidence that City would win the appeal, while the British Prime Minister faced criticism after comments regarding the departure of the Emirati ownership from the club, before the government retracted those statements.
