French legend criticizes Mbappé over Ballon d'Or
French football legend and Ballon d'Or winner in 1991, Jean-Pierre Papin, criticized Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé, saying that he is overly self-focused and displaying excessive narcissism, which harms his chances of winning the award. Papin questioned Mbappé's eligibility according to fair play standards, considering his claim that he is the only rightful candidate for the Ballon d'Or to be exaggerated. He added that he would prefer to see the English player Harry Kane nominated, who has had an exceptional season, scoring 73 goals, and is known for his calm and modest style.
