Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia faces delay

The Asian Football Confederation intends to determine the fate of the 2027 Asian Cup, scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia, which is set to commence in January in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Khobar. The Confederation's president indicated that the tournament could be postponed to 2028 if the security situation in the region requires it, given the possibility of rapidly changing circumstances. The Confederation is monitoring the situation until the end of November to make a final decision, noting that the tournament is still proceeding according to the planned schedule.
