Al Khalifa: Asian Cup delay possible

Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, revealed the possibility of postponing the Asian Cup for national teams to 2028 instead of holding it in January 2027, with 24 teams participating in Saudi Arabia. He clarified that there is no intention to make an urgent decision and that the situation, which is changing rapidly in the region, is being carefully monitored. A delay might be considered if circumstances necessitate, with ongoing assessment of the weather conditions and security situation. Currently, the tournament is scheduled to take place as planned, but the final decision will depend on how the situation develops.
