Sarri Criticizes FIFA and UEFA over Match Schedule

Maurizio Sarri, the head coach of Italian team Atalanta, stated that the club made progress with their 3-1 victory over Pafos from Cyprus in the opening round of the Conference League group stage. He expressed his frustration with the chaotic fixture schedule imposed on the players, which led to an injury to one of his players, Raspadori, and a general deterioration in muscle injury cases among the team. Sarri clarified that the team started the match well and was able to achieve the desired performance, relying on better organization and strategy compared to previous matches. He confirmed that the victory came after a series of defeats in Serie A and was timely to boost the team's performance. He also pointed out that the repeated injuries caused by the packed schedule necessitate filing complaints with both the European and international football authorities, as the current schedule puts players in unfair conditions that harm their health.
