Energy Projects Plan for Narrow Strait Council

The article focused on the implementation plan for energy projects in Tunisia, launched by a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Saraa Zzefrani Zinzri. The plan aims to achieve energy security by increasing electricity production capacity, developing renewable energy sources, and energy storage, with an emphasis on short, medium, and long-term projects. Measures include improving the performance of production units, establishing energy storage systems, and expanding renewable energy projects such as wind and photovoltaic energy, as well as reducing demand during peak periods through demand management. Targets have been set to reach 35% of electricity production from renewable sources by 2030, with a need to accelerate project implementation, improve the grid, and develop smart meters. Citizens and institutions are also encouraged to conserve electricity to enhance system stability and ensure sustainable supply.
