A multi-disciplinary health convoy was organized at Maison Shaker in Sfax to celebrate Pink October. Its goal was to promote early detection of chronic diseases, women's health issues, and health concerns among the elderly. Over 275 citizens benefited from its services, which included eye examinations (screening 87 patients, with the detection of 40 cases of retinal damage and 33 cases of cataracts requiring surgery), gynecological exams and breast cancer screenings (for 53 women), as well as screenings for HPV, prostate issues, diabetes, and hypertension. Additionally, early detection of Alzheimer's disease was offered for elderly grandparents. Educational sessions were also held to emphasize the importance of early breast cancer detection, the benefits of breastfeeding, and methods to prevent bronchitis in infants.
