Juventus requests Ronaldo to return 9.8 million euros

Juventus, the Italian football club, has initiated a legal dispute with former star Cristiano Ronaldo before the Italian Court of Cassation regarding his entitlements relating to COVID-19 pandemic salaries. The club's management demanded from Ronaldo a sum of 9.8 million euros, which he had received following a previous court ruling. The dispute was brought to light in 2024, and the judicial authority confirmed the club's payment of the amount, but Ronaldo has appealed the decision. Additionally, Juventus is facing other legal cases concerning administrative financial penalties of 500,000 euros related to the club's financial statements and player transfer operations. Proceedings in these cases are ongoing and are expected to continue until 2027.
