Tunisia Employment: France Italy Germany and China

The article discusses the impact of foreign investments on Tunisia's labor market in 2025, where the investment value exceeded 3.5 billion dinars and contributed to the creation of over 14,000 jobs. The majority of these jobs stem from expansions within existing companies. France was the leading investor, followed by Germany and Italy. However, the numbers reveal that the size of the investments does not always translate into a significant number of jobs, as many investments focus on expansions rather than new projects. Additionally, China's presence plays a limited role in employment, with its companies providing around 1,000 jobs. There is also some ambiguity regarding the actual achievement of announced goals, such as the "Giti" project in Borj El Seddouk, announced by a Chinese firm and aiming to provide 800 jobs by 2026. Monitoring the actual execution and results of these initiatives remains essential.
