Irish Campaign Calls for Match Boycott

The "Stop the Game" campaign in Ireland is calling for a boycott of the Irish national football team's match against Israel in the UEFA Nations League, in solidarity with Palestine and in protest against the Israeli government's stance in Gaza. The campaign sent a message to the coach and players, considering that participating would contradict the views of over 70% of the Irish people and the government's position, which supports the international legal process against Israel regarding Gaza. The campaign emphasizes that refusing to play the match is not punishable by the European Union Football Association, and that participating would expose players to accountability, while some players have expressed moral objections despite pressure from the Irish Football Association.
