Queiroz leaves Ghana after 5 months

The Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz has left the Ghana national team after five months of taking charge, due to disappointing results in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. His departure comes after the team's decline to the bottom of the group and two losses out of seven matches. Under his leadership, the team achieved one win, two draws, and four losses, scoring five goals and conceding ten. This decision was made following a deterioration in the team's recent performance, including defeats to Gambia and Ivory Coast, prompting the Ghana Football Association to mutually terminate his contract, despite his commitment to guide the team in the upcoming phase.
