Messi Assumes Role at Eldense
The Spanish club Eldense, competing in the second division, announced that Argentine star Lionel Messi has officially completed the process of acquiring a majority stake in the club. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in its history, which dates back over 100 years. The club was purchased from the Colombian investment group "T.H. Soluciones." Messi joined Eldense after becoming the majority owner of the former U.E. Cornellà club. Through this investment, he aims to strengthen the club's stature and capabilities, especially since the team currently sits 19th in the second division and faces challenges in maintaining its position.
