Egypt opposes involvement in Ethiopia crisis

Egypt expresses surprise at the statement by the African Union Commission regarding the tension in relations with Ethiopia and Eritrea. It affirms that the current crisis is internal to Ethiopia and has no relation to Egypt. Egypt also emphasizes its commitment to the principles of international law and the African Union Charter. In response to Ethiopia's announcement of the expulsion of Egyptian diplomats, Egypt considers the measure unwarranted. Meanwhile, Ethiopia accuses Eritrea of supporting its opponents in the internal conflict. This escalation occurs amid ongoing tensions over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and security concerns stemming from internal conflicts within Ethiopia. Egypt reaffirms its commitment to national sovereignty and its pursuit of peaceful solutions to the crisis.
