Zeinabiyats seek volunteers in Sana'a

The Houthi group is intensifying its women’s propaganda activities in Sana'a and across Yemen, particularly through the "Zeinabiyat" apparatus, with the aim of recruiting women and children and training them in sectarian and military ideas. The group is exerting pressure on women, including threats and directives, to persuade them to send their children to participate in military camps and activities, out of fear that these courses could be exploited to recruit children and deploy them in combat zones. Human rights reports indicate widespread violations; the Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms has documented over 36,000 incidents of violations against children since the start of the conflict, reflecting the group's exploitation of children for armed recruitment—acts that are prohibited internationally.
