Al Salam Bank and JP Morgan Offer Daily Liquidity Service
Al Salam Bank Bahrain, in collaboration with J.P. Morgan Payments, has launched a new same-day liquidity management service based on Murabaha contracts. This makes it the first global bank to utilize this technology within its asset and liability management system. The goal of this service is to enhance liquidity management efficiency by enabling banks to invest short-term balances to achieve Shariah-compliant returns, especially in the expanding Asian Islamic finance market. The service was unveiled during the Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 race in Malaysia, where bank and company leaders emphasized the importance of cooperation and innovation in developing financial solutions, aiming to improve sector performance and meet the evolving needs of clients.
