Israel finalizes Sofa 53 project near Quneitra

The Israeli forces have begun implementing the "Sufa 53" line project in the southern sector of the Quneitra countryside in Syria, after completing the project in the northern and central sectors since November 2022. The project aims to impose a new reality and reduce the agricultural lands of the local residents, with the expectation of seizing over 1,000 dunams of farmland, threatening the livelihoods of the population. Violations by the occupation are escalating in the area, and this step is part of Israel's efforts to impose geographical and security changes in the buffer zone, amidst ongoing tensions and political objectives related to securing its interests in the region.
