Washington pulls 12 bombers from UK amid Iran links

Washington confirmed the withdrawal of 12 B-1 bombers from RAF Fairford in the UK, amid reports of security threats linked to Iran targeting the base. The bombers were transported back to their original locations within the United States; however, the US Department of Defense emphasized that all of them remain ready to conduct global offensive missions. This step comes after six suspects—British and American—were detained and accused of planning an attack related to Iran on the base. Reports indicated the involvement of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in an attempt to target the bombers and kill personnel. The magnitude of the threat led to heightened security measures and the precautionary deployment of US forces.
