Turkey Condemns Ibrahimi Mosque Provocation
The Deputy Chairman of Turkey's Justice and Development Party, Ömer Çelik, condemned the Israeli violations at the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, including Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's storming of the mosque with settlers and the decision to close it to Muslims during the Jewish Sukkot holiday. Çelik described these actions as an infringement on Islamic sanctities and unlawful provocations encouraged by Israeli authorities, emphasizing that Turkey will not remain silent in the face of these attacks. He also expressed concern that Israel's expansionist policies in Syrian territory, including resuming work on the "Sufa 53" project in Quneitra, pose a threat to regional peace and stability. He called on the international community to put an end to these violations and assaults, stressing that Turkey will continue to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.
