Yemeni forces retake Zu Bob and Bab al-Mandab

The article focused on the military operations carried out by the Yemeni government forces in the western coast, particularly in the Zubab district and the Bab al-Mandab strait, aiming to regain control of vital areas and end the Houthis' dominance over them. The Yemeni leadership launched "Fajr Yemen" operation to restore state institutions and achieve a significant military victory by taking control of Zubab district, its airport, and the Bab al-Mandab site through a wide-scale attack and field successes. These efforts resulted in the encirclement of hundreds of Houthi rebels and the destruction of numerous military equipments. Additionally, over twelve hundred targeted operations against Houthi targets have been documented, leading to the "neutralization" of approximately 1,747 Houthi elements and the destruction of more than 364 military vehicles. These operations are happening alongside ongoing battles in Taiz, where government forces seek to thwart the Houthis' attempts to cut off main roads and threaten the city, facing fierce resistance from the rebels. The overall goal of the operation is to regain control of strategic areas and achieve progress on the ground that shifts operations from the southern axes of Taiz to an area of strategic importance along the coast. This puts significant pressure on the Houthis' supply lines and supports broader efforts to restore the state.
