Taliban Seeks Dialogue to Resolve Pakistan Issues

Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi affirmed that the unresolved issues in the relations between Kabul and Islamabad are solvable through dialogue and diplomacy, despite escalating military tensions between the two countries since late February, as Pakistan ramps up efforts to counter militants from Afghanistan. He indicated that the Pakistani army prefers to confront these issues with military force rather than through dialogue, and that Kabul will defend itself against any aggression. Additionally, Pakistan has accused the Taliban of leniency towards armed groups, a claim the Taliban denies. These statements coincided with the killing of militants by the Pakistani army during security operations in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.
