Social media circulated a video showing large crowds gathering, setting off fireworks, and chanting in a square in the city of Kraków, Poland. Some posts promoted it as support for Cristiano Ronaldo amidst his crisis with the Portugal national team. However, investigations confirmed that the scenes were staged in the main market square in Kraków in May 2026, during the club players' celebrations of their victory and promotion to the Polish top league, not in Lisbon as some claims suggested. These scenes date back to an event held months before the recent controversy surrounding Ronaldo, and are unrelated to his issues with the national team. This clarifies that the video does not directly indicate support for Ronaldo, but was associated with local sports celebrations in Poland.
