Israeli complaint and filming case involving former UN official

The article details the case of Benjamin Davis, a former official at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), who was dismissed after criticizing injustice and hunger in Gaza. Investigations revealed that Davis organized a seminar on hunger in Gaza in 2025. The FAO had received a complaint from the Israeli delegation regarding the event, in addition to an Israeli diplomat filming silent protests organized by some FAO employees, which the organization considered to be a violation of the code of conduct. It is noted that Davis, who spent 26 years with the organization, believed that his non-renewal was related to his stance opposing food issues in Gaza. He was also criticized for his outspoken support for the right to food, a stance that the FAO rejected, dismissing it as "political games." Following these events, Davis filed an official appeal against the FAO’s decision, asserting that his silence in the face of unjust practices is the real danger.
