UN warns of worsening crisis in Taiz

The article discusses the difficult humanitarian situation in Taiz Governorate, Yemen, where Houthi attacks are intensifying and the number of displaced people is increasing, threatening a significant deterioration in available services and resources. Data indicates that over 180,000 people have been displaced in just two months, with Taiz hosting 56% of the newly displaced families. Access to aid remains challenging due to road closures and the impacts of ongoing conflicts on verification and distribution processes. Civilians, especially children, are facing substantial human losses, with 24 children killed and more than 130 injured since the escalation began. The gap in humanitarian response is wide, as aid organizations have managed to assist only 57% of the displaced families, amid growing needs driven by continued fighting and recurring displacement.
